Routine Nail & Skin Care

Regular routine maintenance is the key to keeping you moving comfortably.

Routine nail and skin care includes gently trimming, shaping and filing your toenails to keep them healthy, clear, and well-managed. Then, focusing on the skin, smoothing and sanding the soles of your feet to       reduce dry skin, clear up uncomfortable cracked heels, and alleviate friction points.

To finish, your feet are treated to a soothing            application of professional-grade foot cream, leaving them thoroughly hydrated, deeply relaxed, and feeling lighter with every step.

Corn and Callus Removal

Calluses and corns are simply the body’s natural way of protecting itself, forming areas of thick, hardened skin in response to repeated friction and pressure.

However, when they become deep or stubborn, they can make every step feel highly uncomfortable—often mimicking the sensation of walking on a sharp pebble.

Using gentle, precise, and completely sterile techniques, we can safely reduce hardened callus buildup and carefully remove painful corns to offer instant walking relief.

To ensure your comfort lasts, cushioning and protective padding devices are supplied, where needed, to deflect pressure away from sensitive areas.

Verucca Treatment

Verrucas can be notoriously stubborn and uncomfortable, often causing localized pain when you stand or walk.

We suggest a variety of conservative management options, depending on your circumstances. These     include debriding any overlying hard skin to expose the verucca, reducing pressure and triggering the body's natural immune response, mechanical occlusion using zinc oxide tape, or targeted drying methods using surgical spirit.

You will also receive tailored aftercare advice and protective cushioning, where needed, to ensure you can walk comfortably throughout your treatment process.

Fungal Nails & Athletes Foot

Fungal infections of the skin and nails are incredibly common, but they can leave you feeling self-conscious or experiencing uncomfortable itching, burning, and thickened, discoloured nails.

For fungal skin infections, we can safely clear away compromised skin cells and guide you on the most effective topical therapies to eliminate the fungi and soothe irritation.

For fungal nails, we can gently trim and thin down thickened, brittle nails. This not only immediately improves the appearance and comfort of your nails, but it also allows targeted treatments to penetrate deeply and work far more effectively.

Ingrown Toenail Management

An ingrown toenail occurs when the side of the nail grows or presses painfully into the surrounding skin, causing soreness, swelling, and severe discomfort. While advanced or deeply infected cases may require a surgical referral, many painful, early-stage nails can be successfully managed right in your home using gentle, conservative methods.

Our approach is non-invasive treatment focusing on providing immediate relief and encouraging the nail to grow out naturally and comfortably.

  • Careful Spicule Removal: Gently clearing away sharp, hidden nail splinters that are digging into the skin fold.
  • Trimming & Filing: Shaping the nail to alleviate immediate edge pressure and prevent future ingrowing.
  • Wound Management & Dressing: Cleaning the area thoroughly and applying sterile dressings if a minor skin break has occurred.

If, during assessment, we find that the nail requires surgical intervention, local anaesthetics, or prescription antibiotics,we can coordinate an appropriate referral.

Diabetic Foot Assessments

Living with diabetes means your feet require extra care, attention, and specialised monitoring. Because diabetes can gradually affect the circulation and nerve endings in the feet, regular check-ups are essential to catch any subtle changes early and preserve your long-term mobility.

Every assessment includes a thorough neurovascular check using specialized, non-invasive clinical equipment to ensure your feet stay healthy and protected:

  • Vascular Circulation Check (Doppler Ultrasound): Using a handheld Doppler machine to gently listen to the pulses in your feet, checking that healthy, efficient blood flow is reaching your toes.
  • Sensory Nerve Assessment (10g Monofilament): Checking the light-touch sensation on the soles of your feet to ensure your protective nerve pathways are working perfectly.
  • Vibration Perceptions (Tuning Fork): A specialized tuning fork is gently used to test deeper nerve responses, ensuring complete clarity on your neurological foot health.
